Founder Yuan Shao Hua has been working in the tea industry for decades. After he did some research he realized that people in foreign countries don’t have the opportunity to drink Matcha tea as often as Chinese people do, so he decided to use his savings and start his own Matcha Tea farm, so that he could provide Matcha Tea to the world.

myMatcha Farm Grounds

The farm is situated in the rural areas of Yuqian Town,Hangzhou Zhejiang Province in China.

Ever since ancient times, Hangzhou, has been well know for their tea production thanks to the climate. So much so, that Hangzhou is know as the "capital of tea."

The areas very long humid summers, and short dry and chilly winters creates a perfect climate to grow and harvest the best quality Matcha tea.

FUN FACT: Did you know Matcha Tea can withstand frosty conditions. As a matter of fact, the cold actually helps the Matcha to grow by killing off pests, including insects, fungi and unwanted plants.

This is how Matcha Tea can be grown without using chemical pesticides.

Once the Matcha Tea has been harvested it get's taken off to our factory situated on the farm itself.

This is where the magic happens. Our Matcha Tea is naturally sun dried, grinded up into fine powder, then packaged and shipped off to our storage facility in South Africa.
