How to Mix Your Matcha Green Tea

If you are reading this, then you have probably ordered our Matcha Green Tea. I would just like to personally thank you. :)

More importantly, I want to get you excited about your Matcha Tea Experience. If you haven't received your order already, it should be well on its way.

Below I have written out some Instruction that will get you prepared for when you Matcha Arrives.

"How do I Mix My Matcha Tea?"

If you do not mix your Matcha Tea correctly, it will have a chalky and Gritty taste to it. This could ruin your entire Matcha experience.

 

Here is the right way to do it:

Step 01. Sift Your Matcha

Sift 2g or half a teaspoon of Matcha Green Tea through a small strainer into a bowl.

Step 02. Pour Hot, NOT BOILING water in Your Matcha

Pour 75ml hot water slowly and gently on the Matcha. Water must not be boiling temperature! Should be around 75 degrees celcius.

Step 03. Mix with a Bamboo Whisk or Normal Whisk

Whisk the mixture quickly in a M pattern with a bamboo whisk to produce the froth. If you don't have a bamboo whisk you can also use an electric milk whisk or just a normal whisk.

Step 04. Move Whisk Through Mixture to Pop Bubbles

Once there is a decent amount of froth on the top, slowly move the whisk through the mixture to pop any large bubbles that has formed. Mixture should now look smooth and creamy.

Step 05. Enjoy as Tea or Mix in Recipe

Once you have mixed your Matcha green tea you can either enjoy it as tea,(we recommend only using ceremonial blend for tea,) or use it in one of the following Matcha recipes.
