Matcha Macaron Madness

YOU'LL NEED:

For the Macaron:

  • Teaspoon of Good Quality Matcha Green Tea Powder. Just click here to grab yours with free shipping.
  • 1 egg white
  • 30g of sugar (we recommend using xylitol)
  • 30g of almond flour
  • 40g of powdered sugar
  • Medium size bowl
  • Piping bag
  • Electric blender or whisk

For the Filling:

  • 50g of cream cheese
  • 70g powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of milk (we recommend coconut milk)
  • Medium size bowl
  • Piping bag
  • Electric blender or whisk

Matcha Green Tea Macaroons Recipe

Step 01. Whisk Egg

With a medium size bowl, add in 1 egg, just the egg white. Use an electric hand blender or whisk until egg has reached soft peak texture.

Step 02. Add sugar

While still mixing the egg whites, add in the first 15g of sugar until egg white is stiff peak thick. Add in the second 15g of sugar until egg white reaches fluffy texture.

Step 03. Add almond flour

With a strainer, add in 30g of almond flour, 40g of powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon of Good Quality Matcha Green Tea Powder.

Step 04. Mix

Mix in and fold with egg white mixture with dry ingredients until fully mixed and pasty texture received.

Step 05. Pipe

With a piping bag, add in macaron mix and pipe 4cm of dollop onto a parchment or baking sheet. Let dollops rest for an hour until they have cookie shape and no longer are wet.

Step 06. Bake

Once the dollop cookies are dry, add into oven and bake for 15 minutes at 150 C.

Step 07. Macaron Filing

While cookies are baking, let’s make the filling!

  • In a medium size bowl, add 50g of cream cheese, 70g of powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of milk. Mix in with an electric blender or whisk, until smooth texture.
  • Transfer into piping bag and set to side until ready for use.

Step 08. Sandwich Macarons

Once cookies have baked, let cool for 10 minutes.

Pipe a coin size cream cheese mixture onto cookies and sandwich together.

Step 09. Enjoy!
